Palazzo Daniele | Lecce/Apulia

Innovative concept one minute

19th century design hotel

Palazzo Daniele has an overwhelming 150 years of history that guests can experience in the hotel's nine luxurious suites. Built by art philanthropist Francesco Petrucci in the small Apulian village of Gagliano del Capo, the enormous palazzo is an architectural work of art in its own right. The luxury boutique hotel has been home to his family for five generations and is still considered a family business.

Staged minimalism in the heart of the village

Rooms and suites are inspired by artistic minimalism, some even created from original 19th-century living rooms with historic and contemporary artwork. All of the suites at Palazzo Daniele seem almost thematically staged, with an outstanding eye for detail. The historic elements of Palazzo Daniele have been fully restored, with the original ceiling frescoes and original monastic artifacts preserved as furnishings. As a result, for some guests, entering the rooms can almost be like visiting a special museum. The boundaries between the comfort of a hotel room and the historical art concept of the suites are blurred to create a unique experience.

Ahead Award for art hotel in the heart of Puglia

The family-run boutique hotel in Italy opened after its restoration in 2019, and exactly one year later it won the prestigious Ahead Award for its special art design elements and unique hospitality. The hotel was chosen for the combination of the hotel concept, which combines the best of Italian art with a family atmosphere for guests. The suites at Palazzo Daniele bring art with different themes to the guests in different and special ways. Accordingly, this concept is considered a unique success for hotel marketing in terms of brand marketing in the hotel industry.
